Emerald Warriors Rugby Football Club has actively supported Stand Up Awareness Week — the annual campaign run by Belong To – LGBTQ+ Youth Ireland aimed at tackling homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying in Irish schools. In 2024, the club offered volunteer speakers to participants in schools during the week, helping to bring inclusive sport-community voices into those spaces. By engaging in this way, the club helped to model allyship, visibility and safe spaces beyond the pitch — showing how sporting organisations can play a meaningful role in building a culture of belonging for LGBTQ+ young people.
