Thank you to Alliance Francaise, Creative Director, Émilien Buffard and photographer Marko Rudyi for recently capturing some of our Mens+ contact team for the Sport Friendly – The Field of Diversity exhibition in TU Dublin.

We are grateful to be featured with some of the fantastic community of LGBTQ+ sports teams.
About the Artistic Director

Émilien Buffard is a French artist who uses photography to highlight diversity in sport around the world. His work challenges stereotypes and promotes inclusion, showing that sport can be a means of expression and empowerment for all identities. His artworks, exhibited in public spaces and museums, have been seen by over 1 million spectators at major events such as the 3rd South American Youth Games (2022) and the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games (2024), as well as in cultural institutions like the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporánea (Valencia, Spain), the Centro Cultural Kirchner (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and various French embassies. His work has also received extensive international media coverage and was awarded the prestigious “Cultural Olympiad” label by the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee, underscoring its significance in the global cultural and sporting landscape.

About the Event

Already presented in 19 countries and seen by more than one million people, the Sport Friendly project is coming to Ireland, with the aim of creating a national photographic archive of inclusive sport by documenting five teams actively working towards inclusion across the country.

From 16th to 30th June at TU Dublin, the exhibition Sport Friendly: The Field of Diversity! will shine a light on inclusive sports clubs whose impact goes far beyond the game itself and contributes to the fight against LGBTphobia.

Through powerful photographs and personal testimonies, Sport Friendly demonstrates how sport can become a catalyst for individual, social, and political transformation — making inclusion a universal value and local acts of resistance a source of national inspiration.

About the Photographer

Marko Rudyi is a 3rd year photography student à TU Dublin School of Media.
