Whether you’re brand new to rugby or returning after a break, the Emerald Warriors Development Programme is designed to help you learn the basics, build confidence, and become part of a vibrant community.
What is the Development Programme?
Our Development Programme is an 8‑week course for beginners and those looking to refresh their skills. Led by our Development Coach, Max du Pradel, and Director of Rugby, Jack Hurley, the programme covers:

At the end of the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in a friendly match under IGR rules and choose your next step - whether that’s joining one of our contact squads (Green, Navy, Azure) or one of our tag rugby teams (Plum, Saffron, Coral).
