How to become a member

Tag Rugby is a non-contact version of rugby where players wear shorts with two tags. The goal is to score tries by carrying the ball over the opposition's try line. To stop an attacking player, defenders remove one of attackers tags, not by tackling them. Teams are made up of either six or seven players, in a mixed-gender format.

Emerald Warriors RFC currently have three mixed tag rugby teams, known as Naoise (Coral, Saffron and Plum), and play weekly in Dublin. They are the hosts of the Pride Tag Rugby Blitz and play in national and international tournaments such as Cork Tag Rugby's Portugal Beach Tag Tournament in Praia da Rocha.
