Table Quiz 2009 Results
On behalf of Mortimer Mouse, Josh Brolin, Barak Obama and Liam Carroll, thanks to all for the huge turnout and fantastic support all you gave to our annual brain teaser. We hope you all had a great time, and in particular enjoyed the comeback of the year – the fabulous Fanny & Pearl’s return to the stage!
The turnout was so large we could have filled another 10 tables if we had the space. It was far in excess of our predictions, and we are truly grateful for everyone’s support. Apologies to those who did not get to sit at a table, or did not get to participate at all – hope you guys cleaned up in the raffle.
Congratulations to the winners this year who needed such intricate knowledge as the Rubik Cube being invented in 1974, and that Bananas grow on a herb not a tree, and that Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz had the surname Gale. The winners were "The Cheryl Cold Sores" with 49 correct from 64 questions.
Funds raised on the night go towards our running cost for the year including clubhouse rental, insurance and coaching costs. Needless to say that without your continuing support, we would not be able to prosper and grow, so again, on behalf of the whole team, players and non players a big big thank you!
